IntentStream Terms of Service
Effective date: October 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of IntentStream, including the website at intentstream.system1.com, its audience explorer, search, AI assistant, and any related features (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided by System1 LLC and its affiliates ("System1", "we", "us" or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the organization whose email address you use to register (your "Organization"). You confirm that you have authority to bind your Organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What the Service is
IntentStream lets business users explore System1's brand and IAB audience taxonomies: which audiences exist, how they are organized, and estimated reach over a chosen lookback window and data source. It is provided so that you and your Organization can evaluate System1's audience data.
The Service does not let you buy, license, export or activate audiences. Any purchase, license or activation of System1 data or media requires a separate written agreement with System1 (such as an order form or insertion order), and that agreement governs that activity. If it conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and use the Service for business purposes on behalf of your Organization. You must register with a work email address at your Organization's domain and provide accurate information when you register and complete your profile, and keep it accurate.
Access is at our discretion. We review new accounts before granting access to the Service and may approve, decline, limit or revoke any account at any time, with or without giving a reason.
Each account is for one named person. You may not share your account or credentials. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account, and you must tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only to evaluate System1 audience data for your Organization's internal business purposes. You agree not to, and not to allow anyone else to:
- copy, scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract data from the Service, or use any automated means to access it, except through features we provide for that purpose;
- sell, resell, license, publish, share or otherwise make data from the Service available to anyone outside your Organization;
- use data from the Service to build, train or improve a competing product or dataset, or any machine-learning model;
- attempt to identify, re-identify or contact any individual, or to combine data from the Service with other data for that purpose;
- use the Service or its data to make decisions about any individual's eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, housing, education or similar purposes;
- use the Service for unlawful, deceptive or discriminatory purposes, or in violation of applicable advertising, privacy or consumer-protection laws;
- exceed or circumvent usage limits, rate limits, quotas or access controls, or create multiple accounts to do so;
- probe, test or breach the security of the Service, or interfere with its operation;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code or underlying data models of the Service, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it;
- provide false information, impersonate any person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any organization.
We may set and change usage limits at any time. If we believe you have broken these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice.
4. Data and confidentiality
The audience data, reach estimates, taxonomies and other information in the Service ("System1 Data") are System1's confidential information. You may view and use System1 Data only as permitted by Section 3, and must protect it with at least the care you use for your own confidential information, and no less than reasonable care.
System1 Data is aggregated and modeled. Reach figures are estimates, change over time, and are not a guarantee of the size, availability, performance or price of any audience.
5. The AI assistant
The Service includes an AI assistant that answers questions about System1's audiences. Its answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong; check anything important against the explorer or with our team before relying on it.
Your questions, and the assistant's answers, are processed by third-party AI providers on our behalf to produce responses. Do not enter personal information about any individual, or confidential information you are not permitted to share with us.
6. Ownership and feedback
System1 and its licensors own the Service, System1 Data, and all related software, content, trademarks and other intellectual property. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, which we may revoke at any time, no rights or licenses are granted to you.
If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use them without restriction or any obligation to you.
7. Privacy
Our collection and use of information about you, including the profile details you provide, is described in the System1 Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge that policy.
8. Fees
The Service is currently provided without charge. If we introduce fees for any part of it, we will tell you in advance, and you will not be charged unless you agree.
9. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.
We may revise these Terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or a notice in the Service, before it takes effect. If you continue to use the Service after the effective date, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including if we believe you have broken these Terms. Sections 3, 4 and 6, and Sections 11 through 15, survive termination.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND SYSTEM1 DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SYSTEM1 DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY ESTIMATE OR AI-GENERATED ANSWER WILL BE ACCURATE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYSTEM1 AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYSTEM1'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).
13. Indemnification
You and your Organization will defend, indemnify and hold harmless System1 and its officers, directors, employees, agents and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or of applicable law, or from your use of System1 Data.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and System1 consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in King County, Washington, for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms.
15. General
These Terms, together with the System1 Privacy Policy and any separate written agreement described in Section 1, are the entire agreement between you and System1 about the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. You must comply with all applicable export-control and sanctions laws in using the Service.
